Okay, for lack of anything better to do right now, I thought I might... share some pearls of wisdom that I have gathered to the masses. I guess the best way to do that is with *dramatic music* a series! Yes, I have come up with my own blog series. Please, hold your applause, just send cash.
The topic for my first Kimmi's Dos and Don'ts? Online dating. Specifically: MySpace dating. I suppose this could also apply to Facebook, but since most of my experience has been on MySpace, we'll talk in terms of that specific social networking site.
I'm kind of picky, that's no real surprise to people who know me, or who have talked to me after a few moments. When I talk to a guy I want to actually talk to him. I want to know things about him. His goals in life, his hobbies, what he likes, what he dislikes, music, movies, books, ect. I want to get to know the guy I am talking to. I want to know if there is anything there to grow upon. Same thing as with a first date. I want to get to know you, I want to have a conversation.
Below are some of the many opening lines that I have recieved from guys who intend on hitting on me.
1. "Hey sexy. I think your hot. Want 2 chat"
Amazingly, guys, this is not a viable pick up line. You think I'm attractive, okay, thats fine. Calling me "sexy" without even knowing me? My feminisim alarm goes off and I automatically assume that you want a booty call, or that you are obsessed with physical attributes. For me, thats a no go. Secondly, as an English major, my mind automatically rejects the message. It drives me NUTS! The punctuation, the "2" instead of "to", it makes me want to scream. I know I'm not perfect with my grammar and such, but I at least TRY. It is laziness... that's all it is. So no. I dont want 2 chat.
2. "Hey hottie. I luv BBW. Your beautiful. txt me if you want to talk more."
Again. I reject the obsession with physical attributes. And I do not want to be called a "BBW". I'm a person. I'm a woman. I'm a pluse size woman. But I do not want to be classifed as a "BBW". Again, calling me hottie? You don't even know me. And I don't randomly txt guys. Especially if they live in say... Ohio.
3. "What up. Hit me back if you want to know more."
This says "Hey! I'm wasting your time! I'm going to tell you what to do and I don't even know you! I'm even too lazy to even TRY and say something that might start a conversation."
I'm not going to talk to someone who doesn't want to tell me at least something about themselves.
I have to say, I feel that if you are interested in someone that you meet on MySpace, Facebook, whatever, you should attempt to be polite. Give a small introduction, comment on something that you found interesting on my/whoever's profile, give SOMETHING so that a conversation can take place. I want to know about YOU. I want to know WHY you took the time to message me in the first place. I want to know what we have in COMMON.
Throw me a bone, guys, think before you message someone. You're more likely to get a response and you increase your chance of actually getting somewhere with whoever you're intrested in.

Super happy fun time news.
Hahaha so how long has it been since I've blogged? Well, due to laziness (and a lack of readily available internet access at my RA job at Shoals) quite a while.
Anything new? Not particularly. The class with Dr. V isn't going as badly as I had expected it to, quite the opposite. I'm actually enjoying it. I still can't help but envision him as some kind of Tim Burton-esq character with a big head and skinny limbs, but his lame jokes seem funnier than normal. Maybe it's the heat.
But, in other news, I've done absolutely no writing in the last few months, which kills me. I have ideas, but no will nor ability to put what I'm thinking down on paper. And it sucks big time. HOWEVER I have come up with a fun little experiment I think I will try tonight to maybe generate some poems which will help me with my dry well of writerness. I'm going to try one of those surrealistic poetry tricks where I write a poem, cut out the words, and then rearrange them and thus creating a poem. I think I'll do a series of different arrangements of the words from the original poem just to see what kind of tone and images I can create. It should be fun.
In other news, I get to write a six page paper on Kate Chopin, but I think I have a good start with figuring out exactly HOW I'm going to write my paper, and so far I have a few resources that I think will be useful.
So, since I want to make this quick so I can go to the holy land of WalMart I shall cut this short and promise you, my loyal reader and myself, that I will have a more substantial blog in the future. I really need to get back on my blogging game. Its fun! Haha, people are staring at me as my fingers fly across the keyboard. Yes, I have been typing for a while, why do you ask? Afraid of my mad skills? BOYAA!!! Ohkay, so now I stop this silliness and until next time!

Ugggg when it rains... it snows.
Its 1:30 in the morning. I'm tired, I'm dead on my feet, but I don't feel like going to bed. My stomach hurts, I feel like pukeing, not to mention my brain is running wild. I just made one of my infamous to-do lists (God bless my future husband with patience because I know I will be the woman with the honey-do list) and just realized that I am behind in almost everything.
Exceptionality Charts
Teacher Made Test
Two exams (one tomorrow one is the final)
Character education lesson plans
18 more freaking hours of observations
2 Sensitivity Modules
Another paper for my Restoration and 18th cen lit class
Read Evalina
A presentation in my Cuba class
I need to register
Secure a job for the summer
figureing out what the hell I'm going to be doing next semester.
Blarg, its like everything comes at once. And I don't want to do a damned thing other than read my beloved pile of books I have laying around and finish season 2 and 3 of Supernatural, season 1 of Darkwing Duck, the last 2 episodes of Densha Otoko, plus who knows what other seasons/shows.
Blarg, I say!
But on the up side, my beautiful little Purivian Violet that I bought the other day seems to be blooming nicely. I think it likes the opened window. Hehe I've named it ViVi.
And... this decapitated MLP toy I got from Mc Donalds is starting to creep me out a little. I think I need to go ahead and paint it and figure out what I'm doing with it from there. Bwah.
But anyway, a little insomnia/sleep deprivation fuled post from yours truely,

Bored.
Know whats more boreing that working alone?
Working alone in a library where there is NO ONE HERE!
Been here since 9:00am and I have yet to see someone enter the computer lab or here in the library and I'll tell you what, I'm bored! I could live if I had some music going, but noooo that's not allowed। I've read umptinmillion stories and caught up on most of my reviews. I've written a blog on the Guild's blog. I've sent an e-mail to the facebook group. I've written notes for Blue Shadows, and I would work on it if I had a computer that had Word. I've read most of my book ( I'm rationing out the pages since the book isn't very big, but its pretty good). I've done my homework (most of it anyway) for next week.
I'm BORED!
Its only 12:30 and I've already done a full day's worth of activities.
What's worse is I've run out of Diet Mountain Dew and will be forced to accept the stupid substitute of Mellow Yellow.
I'm also hungry.
So, if you're a friend of mine, and you're free, and its before 4:00 pm please come and see me in the LRC. And bring food. I'm starving!
Much Love,
Kimmi

P.S. I've also developed some kind of twitch in my left eye and it's annoying as hell!

We eat ham and jam and spam a lot!
Yes. That's right. This would be a blog on Spamalot, a musical lovingly ripped from Monty Python's infamous Holy Grail. Gahhh it was amazing.
The costumes-Priceless, beautiful, and sooooo well thought out. The armor looked like real chainmail, my favorite was the Lady of the Lake's dresses and costumes. So sparkely!
The acting-Wonderful. Richard Chamberlin was priceless! He's well over 60, thats for sure, but he did a great job, and even though he didn't run around a lot and do a lot of danceing, he deffinant did an excellent job as Arthur.
The music- infectious as always. Got to love Diva's Lament, His Name is Lancelot, and You Won't Succeed on Broadway. Classics.
So, last night, all in all, was a wonderful night. I'm a very happy camper right now, even though I'm exhausted, hehe.
So, now onto my next goal: Materials and Method's homework... and actually writing something of... ya know... worth.
Anyway! Just wanted to give peoples a little rundown of how awesome Spamalot was. I got my friends a little somethin' somethin' for putting up with my stupid hyperactivity over the whole ordeal, hehe. Ye shall get them soon!
Love,

Mwahahahahahahahahah!
I get to go see... SPAMALOT! I'm kind of excited if no one's noticed. *cough cough*
I'll totally do a blog about it when I get back and get around to it, but I thought, for now, I would just give a little bit of an update, do a little ranting, and such.
So... lets see.
I'm woefully behind in my writing. I know. And my reading. And commenting. And the challenges. And everything. I have to finish my V-day challenge and get started on the Hate challenge and the upcoming challenges. I also have to get some original fiction done, hopefully, I'll be able to get started on my Darkside Daughter.
But... you see... I have this problem. And this problem happens to be a professor. And this professor happens to be... rather evil in my opinon. I don't particularly like her, if you get my drift, and if you live near me, you've heard my crying/screaming/screeching/hate fuled rants about her.
She doesn't seem to care. She doesn't want to listen. She's just... insensitive and her attitude STINKS.
Eh, but anyway. Thats all I'm really going to say about it. There's not much I can do about it, other than adapt, prove her wrong, and pass.
But, yes, just a bit of an update. I'll write more soon!

Overwhelmed Much?
I hate being sick. Not just because I feel bad and I want to go home and do nothing but cry, but also because I get soooo far behind in my classes and on things I want to do.
I hate it. I feel like such a lazy, good for nothing, loser when I don't get my work done for classes. My teachers think I'm lazy, they treat me like I'm lieing and look at me, back to my old self, happy, hale, and healthy (now) and I know they're thinking... "Oh. She's one of those"
I hate it.
Not to mention I'm so far behind in my education class (Dr. L is EVIL EVIL EVILE!!!!!!Don't ever take her. I don't like it. Don't like it at all, thank you very much) and I haven't felt like doing anything. Even writing.
I'm a bad writer, people... I've been sooo lazy, and so far behind in anything even considered writing... but thank you Slink and Trish for pushing me to start that V-day challange hehe I have an idea for an original fic that I might be starting soon, so I guess that's a start, huh? I hope so.
Anyway... just thought I'd give a little update since I've been lacking in my blogging as well.
Geeze this keyboard is loud (is in Collier).
Anyway.
Love!
